A beautiful smile is not difficult!
Bite correction takes place in several stages:

1. Acquaintance, consultation and diagnostics
At the first visit, you will get to know the doctor and tell him about your complaints and wishes. After that, a comprehensive diagnosis will be carried out, and the orthodontist will draw up a detailed and effective treatment plan.
2. Preparation
By the time the braces are installed, the oral cavity should be healthy. Therefore, the doctor will definitely prescribe professional dental hygiene before installation and treatment, if necessary.
3. Fixing braces
Installing the system on one jaw takes about an hour. During this time, the doctor will treat the surface of the teeth, fix the braces with a special fluoride-containing material, install an orthodontic arch, give recommendations on dental care and answer your questions.
4. Regular correction
For productive treatment, it is necessary to visit an orthodontist 1 time every 1-2 months (depending on the stage of treatment) to replace arches, elastic bands and other elements. With regular visits, the doctor will be able to evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and, if necessary, adjust it.
5. Professional hygiene of teeth
To remove plaque in hard-to-reach places and prevent caries, we recommend that patients with braces visit a hygienist once every 3-4 months. With aligners, such a procedure is required somewhat less often — about once every six months.
6. Removing braces
When the bite is corrected, the orthodontist gently removes each lock with a special tool. After that, he removes the remnants of the material with soft rubber bands and polishes the enamel with special discs. Then professional hygiene is done again.
7. Fixing the result
In order to keep the teeth in the correct position after removing the braces, they need to be fixed with non-removable retainers. This is a thin wire that is attached from the inside, invisible to others and comfortable for the wearer. It is recommended to wear retainers at least twice as long as braces.

Conclusion

Modern technologies allow you to correct absolutely any bite. And this service is gaining popularity. In our clinics alone, 105 patients have been fitted with braces and aligners over the past year, and their number is constantly growing.
All our patients after removing braces say that they regret only one thing: why did they not decide to fix their smile earlier.

Answers to popular questions from patients
What do patients ask us about before installing bracesв
Answers to popular questions from patients
What do patients ask us about before installing bracesв
Won't it hurt to install braces?
The installation of braces itself is painless. Some patients even fall asleep during the procedure.

The sensitivity of the teeth may increase a few hours after installation and last for several days. Braces begin to change the position of the teeth, and sometimes this causes discomfort. Also, due to the reaction of the delicate mucosa to braces, the lips and cheeks may become more sensitive. Don't worry, this inconvenience passes quickly, and after a few days nothing will bother you.

You can use a special dental wax. Just smear them on the areas that seem sharp, and the discomfort will pass.

In fact, the sensations after the braces are installed depend on the patient's pain threshold, and it is different for everyone.

Our clients claim that sensitivity is tolerable, and the first time after the procedure is quite comfortable. After a few days, you will stop noticing braces and will feel natural, as before the installation.
Will there be any problems with diction?
Braces are located on the outside of the teeth. At first, diction may be a little broken. But very soon you will get used to braces and will talk as before.
Isn't it too late?
You can put braces at any age, without restrictions. Our oldest patient was 67 years old. But, as a rule, the older a person is, the slower the teeth move. Therefore, in adults, treatment may take longer. In addition, we must not forget about the level of bone tissue and take care of its safety.
Won't braces scratch your lips?
At first, a slight irritation may occur with braces. But soon the lip mucosa will get used to it, and the discomfort will pass. In addition, we give each patient a protective wax that can be applied to braces if they scratch their lips.
Will there be any pain in the process of wearing?
Sometimes minor discomfort may occur. Most often, it occurs after a planned visit to the orthodontist due to twisting of the system elements and is transferred more easily than after the initial installation.
Are there any restrictions on eating after installation?
There is no special diet after installing braces. But there are several recommendations for patients during treatment:
1. Do not bite off or gnaw with your front teeth solid food (apples, nuts, crackers, etc.). Solid foods can be pre-cut into pieces.
2. Give up chewing gum, toffee and other sticky foods.
3. Do not use toothpicks and other mechanical objects that can damage the braces.
4. It is advisable to exclude soft food with hard pieces inside (for example, buns with nuts).
Such restrictions will help to keep the braces so that they do not come off.
Do braces spoil tooth enamel?
Braces themselves do not spoil teeth. They are attached to a special fluoride-containing material that protects the teeth. But hygiene during treatment will have to pay more attention, because food residues and plaque can accumulate in the structure. To avoid the formation of caries, it is necessary to use dental floss regularly. And also brush your teeth and braces with a special brush, treat them with an irrigator and regularly do professional cleaning at the hygienist's doctor.
Will the enamel suffer when the braces are removed?
No. The braces are glued to a special fluoride-containing material that protects the teeth. After removing the braces, the remnants of the material are removed with a special soft rubber band, which is absolutely safe for enamel.
Also in the clinic "Your Dentist" there is a service - removal of braces under a microscope. Multiple magnification helps the doctor to carefully remove only the material and not scratch the enamel.
Won't it get worse?
At the beginning of treatment, the doctor makes casts and X-rays of the teeth. After that, with the help of precise mathematical calculations, he predicts how to carry out treatment so that the teeth become as smooth as possible.
Is it possible to correct the bite without braces?
Yes, there is an alternative to braces — aligners. These are special transparent mouth guards for teeth. They are almost invisible when worn, but they are also effective in correcting the bite. It is necessary to wear aligners at least 22 hours a day, taking them off only during meals and brushing your teeth.
Is it convenient to brush your teeth? How to take care of teeth after braces are installed?
During treatment, it is necessary to provide teeth with better care.
— it is best to brush your teeth after each meal. Although it is useful without braces.
— to clean the structure, you will need a special brush and dental floss.
— we also recommend using an irrigator regularly. Since there are many small parts in the bracket system, it is very difficult to clean each one. The irrigator helps to maintain oral hygiene quickly and easily. It will not replace a toothbrush, but it will free you from the need to clean hard-to-reach places with brushes, toothpicks and other additional tools. In addition, the irrigator is useful to use without braces, and the whole family can use it. So this is a useful and long-term investment.
Do I need to treat my teeth before installation?
Before installing braces, it is necessary to completely cure my teeth and gums. If there is even a dormant infection or an inconspicuous caries inside the tooth, then with intervention they can wake up and begin to progress rapidly. When braces are already installed, it will be much more difficult to cure caries or gum inflammation. Therefore, the elimination of all foci of infection before installation is mandatory.
In the clinic "Your Dentist", the diagnosis and treatment of caries takes place under a special dental microscope. It allows you to detect and eliminate even the most inconspicuous caries and keep your teeth healthy.
When the braces are removed, will the teeth move back?
No.
To consolidate the result, after removing the braces, invisible retainers are placed on the inside of the teeth. American scientists recommend wearing retainers at least 2 times longer than braces for a good result. We suggest not to remove them at all. One of our orthodontists has been wearing retainers for 15 years. The other is 5 years old. Retainers are absolutely harmless and invisible, but you will always be sure of the beauty of your smile.
How long does it take to install braces?
The whole procedure takes from 1 to 2 hours. Depending on which method braces are put.
Are braces immediately installed on both jaws? Or first on one, then on the other?
Braces are almost always installed in two stages. This way it will be easier for the patient to get used to the design. First, the system is fixed on the upper jaw, and after 2 months — on the lower.
How is the treatment going?
The treatment takes place in several stages:
1. Initial consultation, diagnosis and preparation of a treatment plan.
2. If necessary, the doctor directs to eliminate caries or gum inflammation.
3. Professional hygiene. Before installing braces, it is necessary to do a professional cleaning to remove the accumulated plaque. This will allow the braces to be well fixed on the teeth.
4. Fixing braces on teeth.
5. Regular correction, every 1-2 months.
6. Professional hygiene during treatment to avoid caries — on average, 2-3 times a year.
7. Removing braces and installing invisible retainers.
How long do I need to wear braces?
Depending on the complexity of the situation, braces need to be worn from one to three years. The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor and depends on the results of diagnosis and treatment goals.
Is the metal of braces oxidized in the mouth?
No.
Braces are made of hypoallergenic metal. Therefore, if there are no other metal structures in the mouth, there will be no oxidation.
If the teeth are initially fragile, with a large number of fillings, removed nerves, etc., will braces hurt them?
If the teeth are fragile and mostly consist of fillings, our experts recommend putting temporary crowns on fragile teeth for the period of bite correction.
It is better to put the same crown on the tooth with the nerve removed. It will protect the tooth during treatment, besides, a bracket is better attached to it. After removing the system, the temporary crown is changed to a permanent one. If the crown is already standing, you do not need to change it before treatment. But for better adhesion to the bracket, its surface will have to be scratched, so after treatment, in any case, it will be subject to replacement.
What braces systems are on the market and what is their difference? Why do we use these systems?
1. Damon braces are considered the most high-tech and high-quality in the modern market. This system works gently and physiologically and is considered by professional orthodontists to be one of the most effective on the market. For decades of its existence, it has justifiably taken first place among competitors.
2. The second place is occupied by braces of the American company American Orthodontics. They are slightly larger in size, and transparent are slightly more noticeable than Damon braces. But the quality of the system is also high.
3. There are also more primitive and cheaper analogues. Such are produced, for example, in Germany or China. Or ligature braces of past generations. They are considered not as effective, require a longer period of treatment and are less comfortable for the patient. Our specialists select the appropriate system individually for each clinical case.
We believe that a good result can be achieved only by using high-quality tools. Therefore, only Damon and American Orthodontics braces are installed in our clinics.
What to choose: braces or aligners? What are the differences between these methods, other than appearance?
Braces are a non—removable structure on the teeth. They may be partially aesthetic or internal, but still remain noticeable.
The aligners are removable and transparent, they are invisible on the teeth and do not cause discomfort and have no dietary restrictions. Before an important event, you can remove the aligners, which is very convenient. However, this method requires care and responsibility from the patient. Aligners must be worn at least 22 hours a day, removing only during meals. Also, any damage or loss of the mouth guard will require replacement, and this is an additional cost. All these points must be taken into account before choosing a treatment method and be ready for them.
What problems cannot be corrected with aligners?
If the patient has a skeletal jaw mismatch or a pronounced bite asymmetry, in this case it is possible to align the teeth only with braces.
What is the difference between the modern system and those that were 15-20 years ago?
Modern braces act gently and gently on the periodontal tissue (ligamentous apparatus that holds the tooth in the bone).
There is no longer a need to tie the arc with an elastic band or wire, and also to use metal rings on the 6 and 7 teeth. The duration of treatment with new technologies has also been reduced.
In which cases do you need 3D modeling (Insignia?). Why is it not offered to everyone?
Insignia allows you to reduce the duration of treatment by about 3-6 months. This is due to individual arcs. However, this approach makes treatment much more expensive, and in standard cases it is not necessary.
At the reception, you can discuss with the orthodontist whether it is worth doing 3D modeling in your case.

Tregubova Galina Ivanovna
Hello, dear friends!
My name is Galina Ivanovna, I am the chief physician of the network of clinics "Your Dentist". I have been living my profession for almost 30 years, but I still rejoice together with satisfied patients.

In 1986, I graduated from the Novosibirsk Medical Institute and got a job at the state polyclinic in Surgut. No one thought about the quality of tools and service there. And I quickly realized that I wanted to work in a different way.

In 1994, I got a job as a head doctor in a private clinic.

Together with the director, Mukhametzyanov Salavat Gafurovich, we installed the most modern equipment. We used the best technologies and focused on service and quality service. After 6 years, we opened a second clinic together in Surgut, and then a third.

Soon our patients admitted that they consider our clinics to be the best in Surgut. Then we decided to expand in other cities. We chose St. Petersburg and quickly realized that there were two types of dentistry in this city. Some were inexpensive, but the level of services left much to be desired. Others focused on quality, but occupied the premium segment and set prices that were unbearable for most people. There were practically no middle-class clinics.

We decided to open our own dentistry with a high-class team of doctors, modern equipment and reasonable prices. And in 2011, the first clinic "Your Dentist" appeared in St. Petersburg on Leninsky Prospekt. And in 2017, we opened a second clinic on Moskovsky Prospekt.
